Front Sight Training Lectures
Lectures at Front Sight are not what you might expect, they were scheduled throughout the day to avoid fatigue and it worked out that way. Just as your arms, and hands might be getting tried from shooting drills, we’d take a break and head to the climate controlled classroom / lecture hall.
The large room was always comfortable. Solid chairs and tables and coffee / water and misc other drinks made it a pleasure to head in for some instruction.
We took lots of notes and along with the lecture handouts we’ll have a good recollection of what we went over. Lecture was informative and important. Knowing when to use our new handgun skills is just as important as developing those skills on the range
Lectures covered morals and ethics, when to shoot scenarios, tactical movement, what types of pistol to carry, low light shooting and lots more.
Our 30 state CCW course was about half lecture and half range time. We learned specifics on the state laws where we were applying for CCW permits as well as new information on carrying a gun concealed. During the CCW lecture we also completed our CCW applications, took pictures, were finger printed and assembled our packages to deliver to the assorted states
